I have been dabbling in rug hooking borrowing my GF stuff and I'm hooked!
I found a rug hooking frame that I want and the guy who makes them will engrave it. Heres where I need my sister's help, what should I have engraved on the seat? I want something cute and that keeps the hook in it.

I just thought of one more thing, their is another hooking called.locker hooking. Go to amazon and search locker hooking. There are a couple of how to books on that. Of course, I had it figured out before seeing these books as I bought a hot pad at a craft fair and if you know me at all, I always look and prod things apart thinking I can make that.

Hi Susan,
I had thought of that one too. HB's friend suggested it. Lol.

Hi Amy,
I am hooking with a great group of women and haven't had any trouble at all. They have let me.borrow their extra items such as frames, cutters and hooks. That's all.you need to get started besides of course a project and wool. I have wool from other projects, and find it at second hand clothing stores. It doesn't matter if there is a.print to it or not as prints add depth. I started out with an owl that I found that had been incorporated in a larger project. I like this craft as you can see it become something really fast.

I ordered my frame. I am.having red light district engraved on the seat.

Smile while you're doing that and they can call you the happy hooker!
Hope you are having fun!

Was it hard to learn? I have been wanting to do this for years, but it looks somewhat difficult.
