Ok, so maybe the cat didn't really drag it home... lol!

It's a Bel-Air Bantam.... it's a size between a Singer 99 and Feather Weight.(11" x 9")... and is aluminum rather then cast iron, so it's lighter as well. It was made in the mid 1950's in Occupied Japan....
None the less it is cute and a whole lot less expensive ($21.00)than a feather weight or a 3/4 size machine.
It operates smoothly but I want to take it to the repair shop for a cleaning/tune up before I start using it on a daily basis.
WaHooo,,, Santa,,, how did ya know I wanted one! HoHoHo.

Well, Grace . .
. . my cat doesn't listen to much except when I hollar "CAT" at her loudly . . for a minute. I only do that if she's fixing to get into something she needs to stay out of.
She is definitely the "QUEEN of EVERYTHING" around here!!! But she's sweet, loveable and cuddly!

And, I'm soooooo jealous of your cute little sewing machine!!! I'm sure you are/will have tons of fun with it!

Hey Grace,
My hubby was the one buying sewing machines from thrift stores for me . . . if he hadn't I'd have been in a world of hurt! And, he's done a good job of cleaning and/or repairing them as needed.
That little cutie is TOO CUTE!!!! Have fun with it!
And, my cat drags home things but not ANYTHING LIKE that . . . (we won't go there!)
Fun, fun!!

Too funny Grace - I always end up Christmas shopping in the places where I wish people would shop for me - i.e. thrift stores, antique stores, etc. - and I have, on occasion, had to hide things till after the holiday so noone would know I broke my own rule of "no buying stuff for yourself the two weeks before Christmas". Sometimes you have to do it though.....
