Normaly I use an iron to press my quilt pieces together. But it gets clumsy and awkward at times. Is it OK to finger press them? I saw on-line a item called the wooden iron to press quilt pieces together. But it looks like just a piece of wood that I would find anywhere. What to you think? |

Posted - Aug 21 2006 : 11:31:18 AM I have done that (finger pressed) too, and it does work. Last time I was at the little quilting shop nearest here they had a neat little gadget I may get some time. It was a little battery (I think) operated iron that is real small and looks like it would sure be handy! Inexpensive too.

Posted - Aug 21 2006 : 09:49:30 AM yep that is pretty much what it is. You can use your finger nail the back side of it and run it down the seam. If you have a bone folder you can use that. If you have a really big permanant marker use the cap, while it is still on the pin and closed. All those things work as a none heating iron.
