Posted - Nov 18 2011 : 06:21:24 AM i just priced one of these for a granddaughter on the way, oh my $30.00 and up I looked at free patterns on the web and it dawned on me that one of my old (25 yr+) layette patterns will work. I am planning on taking the long nightgown, that has a string to close the bottom, putting a zipper down the front, and just sew the bottom closed, that will leave the cuffs on the long sleeves to cover her little hands, and I can make a couple of short-sleeved ones too. Any suggestions, farmgirls??

Posted - Nov 18 2011 : 07:22:06 AM As a momma with a nine month old, can I suggest a making a couple that have "holes" for carseat/stroller harnesses? They have come in so handy now that the weather has turned colder.
