Hello Amanda. Wow, I love your craft room! I want to just wander in and set in the middle of it! You have inspired me to do the same thing. We are moving back home from the coast and I am putting a small building in the back yard just for my sewing room. Love the table & chairs!

I love the sewing machines, too. I don't know why I have to have, you know, like 15 of them, but oh well! I had a lot of fun doing the sewing cabinet. Man, it was UG-LEE before!

Thanks, Juanita! Always happy to get another reader ;0)

We currently have 2 toms (one Narragansett, and one Bronze) and a Narr. hen. They are extremely friendly. However, they've been handled since very small. Anyway, they aren't quite a year yet, so I'm not gonna say it isn't possible that they'll be more aggressive at some point.

I am sitting in the craft room now and I love it. Haven't had much time to break it in properly, but I'm thinking over this winter....

Julie, we are about 30 minutes south of Tyler. We are pretty much right in the middle of a line from Dallas to Houston.

Fantastic posts Amanda! I particularly like where you point out reading your own blog. And where the heck is Jacksonville?

Thanks, everyone! I try to stay fun and funky...life's too short to not have fun, right? Paula, I got tired of squinting, so we put in 2 4' lights, plus the 2 lamps and the fan light. Even so, I still need my gooseneck lamp over by my sewing machine. I mean, I already wear glasses, but let's not make things worse!

Oh yes, Linda we loooove our Naked Neck/Showgirl chickens! I have about 30 eggs in the incubator...can't wait to see what hatches. They have the funniest personality. And,I love the Silkies. Such a sweet bird. Even the roosters are very docile. I have been told I need to write a book about, oh, 50 times. Maybe one day I will, who knows? It would be a lot of fun,I think...I mean, if anyone would publish it. I'd have to bring Ernie to book signings....

Yep, right back to it, ladies! Going flea marketing in 2 weeks and I am READY to fill up this room.

Amanda, I loved the tour of your blogspot. I like your craftroom. Its fun and work todo, but afterward its so cool, to sit in and work on a project and think we did this!.. Enjoy your room. I loved your stories, you should keep copies of your stories, and print a short story book. I too, had a naked-neck pet one time. Her name was blonde, she went everywhere I went. Rode on the wagon on top of the food buckets at feed time, actually, I think it was because she got her food first. One day a stray dog broke in and killed some of my chickens, I could not find Blonde, I searched the woods, and called and called, my family was also looking, cause I was in tears. Finally I could hear this strange noise, I searched closer and closer and she had hid in a tree with a hole in it. she had a hole in her neck, my daugher and I filled it with antibotic cream and sewed her up, kept her in the house a few days, and she wanted out, she lived another 4 years, but never made another noise. I think they a friendly breed. I love them, and in the spring I am getting some more. Have a good rest and you know how us farmgirls are-get right back to work!! Huggs Linda Farmgirl #946

Impressive!! I LOVE the vintage sewing machines. The lighting is really nice too. I never have enough light in my craft cave.
