Is anyone interested in a thread for doll makers? Cloth, Paperclay, Polymer Clay, whatever kind you make? Newbies, OldTimers, everybody in between. I would be interested in sharing ideas, photos, etc. if there is enough interest.
Thanks, Glenda

Gosh, I thought this thread had died from lack of interest. now this morning for the first time I get a notice in my email that someone had posted on this thread I had subscribed to--I wonder what happened. I am sorry I have been absent. Ann I will go to your blog and if you still need bunnies I will try to help out--I am going on a trip so would be a couple of weeks. I still dont understand why I have not seen this thread in so long I thought it was gone!!

I just went to your blog and see that project is finished I am sorry I missed it. Did you reach your goal?

have a couple of my rag dolls in our historical society gift shop and a lady yesterday ordered one from me only because she wants it to have red hair, but it's my first doll order and I am very excited.

Still trying to tweak the ears, and need to get'er done! She (and possibly some sisters & brothers) need to go to Harrisburg!

We are still so short of the 100 bunnies we were hoping to get - if you could find time to make a stuffed bunny for charity, I'd greatly appreciate it! Details are on my blog along with tutorials for glove bunnies and sock bunnies.

Thank you!

Going to use the freebie pattern above, and modify it. Because why would I use anything the way it is? Where's the fun in that?!

Anyway, after enlarging the pattern pieces and printing them, I'm going to add another pattern piece, which will be some pointy ears to make another sister rabbit for Righteous (you can read about him on my blog - sock bunny tutorial). Will definitely post photos and how-to's on the blog when I'm done.

Ok, so I went to the link. There is a little tab in the corner almost right above the photo that says print. I was able to get it to print just by clicking on it, then clicking on the print button when my printer software comes up.

If you try it and it doesn't work, let me know.

I don't have a copy any more - I'd have to print a new one. Let me play with the link a minute, and see where I get.

Ann I clicked on the craft site, found the cute pattern but I can't print it. The download PDF is stuck in the middle of it. Would you happen to have a copy of it? I would love to make one of these for my teapots.

Here is the original pattern for the tea cozy:
http://www.craftown.com/country/craft30.htm

I did a Raggedy Ann type head instead, and painted her face on. Should have stitched it before I sewed, but it was a life lesson learned. She was my first doll...

Just came across this thread this morning...
I made a doll tea cozy a looooooong time ago for the original tea cozy swap (was that in '09?). She was beautiful. If you can find the old thread, you might be able to find her photo.
Recently, I've done a sock bunny and a glove bunny, both for charity. I would love to start doing some rag dolls - maybe like a Raggedy Ann-type? I think they'd be a fun feature on my blog - like a doll of the month, kind of thing. Maybe she could have a theme, like a patriotic doll for 4th of July, and an angel for Christmas...
Just some random crazy thoughts - when I get inspired that little hamster upstairs starts on his wheel and who knows what will come out of the process!

I'd like to get into dollmaking myself. On another site I'm on there's these cute Poppit dolls some are making. I bought the supplies but that's as far as I got. I collect the cloth bunnies in dresses. I put them up cause my girls kept taking the dresses off. Lost an arm or 2 as well. Hopefully I can put them out soon, now they are older.

Where did everybody go? I hope you are all busy making dolls because now I am inspired!

I have made only one doll so far -- thanks to Nancy and her kindness in sending me an unintimidating pattern. I have many dolls - but less than a dozen hand-made beauties.

I just discovered this thread because I'm fan of Glenda's and decided to check out where she's been. I was delighted to find she had started this thread. Lots of fantastic info here!

I used to love making these dolls. I have two teenage boys, but when they were younger, they had a lot of friends who had sisters and I used to make these dolls for the girls. The little one's espcially loved them because they were cuddly. I found this one tucked away. I think I am going to put her in my craft room.

I used to make a lot of dolls. This is one of the few that I have left. I brought her out of storage when I set up my craft cave.
