I have the pattern #7120 from Suitability patterns, for saddle pad and quarter sheet, but I need to sew a winter horse blanket for a size #80 horse blanket. Where would I find such a pattern?

DD found one on-line for $69.00 that will fit her horse. If she does not buy it, I may need to make one. Thanks for all your help. I may be sewing saddle pads very soon too (have the pattern thanks to Mary LD)

Schneider's (sstack) just had a blanket sale. I got a royal blue waterproof insulated blankey for my daughter's horse for $80 ($90 with shipping. Isn't that aggravating?).

I have made a wool-lined cordura blankey for the same horse. It wasn't $80 but it wasn't 100% waterproof either.

The Suitability pattern does not have a pattern piece that you cut out and lay on the fabric. They have a line drawing and you transfer that to your fabric in the size you need. I have made several lightweight sheets and the front closure doesn't seem to fit quite right from horse to horse. I also suggest using elastic for the belly strap and the leg straps. That has worked far better for me.

If you need the pattern I could send it to you as long as you send it back. I may decide to make another one someday!

I think Sutability has patterns for full winter blankets as well. Also if you decide to go with the store-bought ones- www.statelinetack.com is the cheapest place I have found.
