I'm going to make a batch of honey butter, and if I like it, I may make that this year for each family, teacher, and bus driver.

Does Pinterest use a lot of time? I don't really want another reason to sit on my rear at the computer. Ha ha ha! I may just order books from the library also.

Kim, that recipes looks wonderful. Thanks.

I am also looking for patterns for placemat sets to crochet - thanks for that idea too Annie

I have 100's of images pinned and I have been on it maybe 2 months. I love being able to see other's ideas and 'borrow' the ones I like without having to save a website or write anything down. I work at our local library and I am doing a crafts program there once a week. I know I could come up with any number of things on my own/web/books but on pinterest if I see a craft I like I can pin it to my library crafts board and refer back to it whenever I want to - even show people at work what I am thinking of. You have to request an invite to set up a name and password and that takes a couple of days but then the sky's the limit :-)

I have a recipe that all my friends and family expect every Christmas.
Reindeer Bark
1 package white almond bark
1 package white chocolate morsels
1 1/2 cups dried cranberries
1 1/2 cup pistachios, chopped

Melt bark, chocolate in micro, 30 sec intervals until smooth. Stir in cranberies, nuts. Pour onto was paper pretty thin layer. Let cool, break into bite size pieces. Place in mason jars, tie raffia around neck of jar. Will be a hit! Enjoy

I want to make the grapevine wreaths shown in the last MJF magazine. I have it easy--all my friends like different colors so I can make the same thing and change the fabric!

Also search on youtube for crafts or handmade...videos show how to make things. Also look under recycle.

I so agree with you RaspberryBee! It's like chasing rabbits and finding all kinds of treasures. I have seen so many ideas that I have to write them down because I can't remember them all.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

At Pinterest you will find MORE than enough ideas to help you with christmas/gift ideas. You can search for just about anything and the more you 'play' around the more you will find. I tell people it is the most horrible/wonderful site ever! :-) I will sit down at the computer for a quick look and then all of a sudden I am missing an hour that I was sure was right there with me!! Good luck!!

Thanks. I came up with tatted, turtle earrings for dd 9 yo, and also a crocheted or knitted cowl or similar. I have the pattern for the earrings, now I just need the time to get them done.

Try TipNut.com - they have EVERYTHING for making gifts from sewing, knitting, crafts, crocheting, bath and body, home, food, kitchen, homemade, etc. It's the greatest site I've found. Good luck.

I've made bath salts before that are super simple, I just put them in jars (unfortunately I had to buy pretty canning jars) & decorated them nicely. I can't really think of anything else off the top of my head lol. Sorry.
