I finally finished a project! This is a crazy handbag pattern that I modified to make the straps long enough to wear over the shoulder. It is made with a spiderweb print outside and a cute matching black print inside. I crocheted the lacy trim and added some vintage faceted black glass buttons for some bling. I quilted a layer of sheer black fabric over the print on the gusset to add some visual interest and texture. There is a pocket on the front outside and another one inside and it closes with a magnetic snap.

Here are some photos!!

Paula don't ya hate it when you should have bought more of a certain fabric? But I guess we can not own it all. LOL, Barbara

Hi Barbara,

That is why I picked that fabric, because with a casual glance one wouldn't notice that it is Halloween. So it could be worn out in public without being glaringly "trick or treat"-like.
I went back to get some more fabric to make a bag for myself, but they sold out!

Hi Linda,

I haven't sold the handbag yet. It is $25. I was working on putting some inventory together to open a little Etsy shop, but can't seem to keep enough inventory on hand before I sell it! I guess that isn't such a bad problem to have.

Thank you! I keep experimenting with different handbag designs and this one was more fun than some others have been.
