(I just got the 1982 booklet that instructs how to make the Little People Pals, which became Cabbage Patch kids.) Also I've found a book called "Anatomy of A Doll" by Susanna Oroyan very helpful- it tells you ways to do different things, like create a round (baseball) head or sculpture the faces.
