Ok ladies, I'm new to crocheting, just learned the beginning of this month. Yes I will admit I'm addicted and that I have made a ton of stuff. My issue is that my fingers hurt so badly. I am right handed, and the finger i'm having the most issue with (from the very beginning, its only getting worse) is my left index finger, the middle knuckle. Any thoughts on why this hurts and what I can do to make it feel better?

Its not just crocheting that bothers my fingers. Whenever I knead bread I have to ice my thumbs. Is there a bigger issue going on here?

Amy~ I think you are looking at something bigger going on here. It would be worthit to go to the dr. If anthing, just for your peace of mind.

If it was just the crochet, i would say maybe you are clenching that hand too tight when you work but it might be a bit of arthritis perhaps in that joint? Might be worth talking to the doc. or get one of those silly stress balls and do a little physical therapy between chores/crochet just to gently keep the joint moving.
