I am working on cleaning up an old cistern hand pump.
Would love to hear about how you:
sanded
painted-- selected paint color or left it unpainted
how you staged it in the yard

At this time it has several layers of old greenish paint peeling off.
I am missing the handle.
But I am tempted to stage it on my hill and get a solar pump to turn it into a waterfall/small bird waterer.

I have always loved seeing these in the yards around Augusta Missouri in front of wrap around porches.

get me on the farm
