Margaret it may be a bit slower but you can spin anywhere at anytime. I love spinning on mine when I have to sit in stupid meetings, when a passenger in a car, or even when I stand out with my goats and move them around while grazing in the back yard. I sure get a lot done in all those wasted moments... Enjoy!

Laura,
Your spinning wheels are beautiful! It is my dream to get one, one of these days. For now I spin on a drop spindle, which is very time consuming. Such a beautiful day spent with your Mama, thank you for sharing!

I did see a spindle that looks just like mine. Now I have no idea how to bid on ebay. I guess I have to sign up for it. I'll look into it. Lots of really nice wheels there too.

Laura, that does look very peaceful. I sure wish you were closer. I have my great grandmother's old wheel. It needs some new round pieces for the spindles before I can actually use it. Do you know where I could find some? Or someone to make some for me?

Laura, I do wish I was there. I almost took a spinning class this year, but missed the only day they were doing it. I can't wait to give it a try.

What a beautiful way to live! I could use a day with other women, working our craft, in the shade of mature tree out in the country. I enjoyed the video and the rest of the site!
