My mother asked if I could find a pattern for her. I looked everywhere I could think of online. Then the lightbulb went off! MaryJanes!
The pattern was advertised in Workbasket (Sept 1976)(Herrschners #1-4018X)(She actually called Herrschners but they said it was out of print!).
It is a crocheted cape that has slits for the arms, 6 buttons up the front with a short collar. The ad states that it is double crochet with lacy stitches. I scanned the ad if any one thinks they have it; I can verify.
I would love to surprise her for Mother's Day with the pattern and yarn needed for it.
Thanks so much.

I got a good one from someone. It's not quite long enough but I think we can work it out.

If you can post a photo of the ad, I'll see if I have it here...

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
