Posted - Jan 25 2005 : 06:21:29 AM I have just purchased the Electric Quilt 5. This is the coolest thing I've seen for the computer. For the last week or so I have gone thru the first lesson plan book. It has over 33,000 pre-scanned fabric and you can scan your own stash so you can really see what the quilt will look like. I researched different programs after seeing one on Simply Quilts. I've also been taking pictures with my Christmas present from my husband. I can put them in my easy share, move around and put into a different file and put pictures in my quilts. I'm also going to design quilts small enough to fit onto my new gourd art.(since I don't work out of the home I figured out what to say to my husband to get this one ha ha ha) My next project is a memory quilt for my youngest granddaughter. She'll be 2 years next month and my husband and I have made her something for each occasion requiring a present. quote:

Posted - Jan 26 2005 : 4:36:05 PM I have a computer program that allows one to design cross-stitch patterns and see what they will look like when stitched. It holds all of the DMC thread colors, hundreds of symbols, and you can put symbols or colors in the grid and make a design however simple or complex you want.
Is this similar to your Quilt program?
I also have a granddaughter who will be two in March. I made her a Noah's Ark quilt when she was born. She sleeps on it every night.
Ain't life grand. jpbluesky
Love those big blue skies and wide open spaces. |
