Posted - Aug 16 2010 : 08:46:17 AM Karrieann - I love that idea to! My addiction is also sewing and fabric! I usually just stick to cottons though my husband sometimes brings home upholstery fabric from one of his thrift stores! My heart just pounds when I enter a fabric store, it really is a high for me!
I'll have to see if I can get my husband to set up something like that for me, that way I wont have to look through boxes for material, it would be right in front of my eyes always and then I would know what I have!
Wonderful idea!

Posted - Aug 16 2010 : 08:17:44 AM Great idea. I think it will come about after the new book cases. I could probably use old cardboard boxes which I have a lot of.

Posted - Aug 16 2010 : 05:47:03 AM Don't laugh please! I bought a lot of scrap ribbon once and I organized it the exact same way but I never thought of putting my fat quarters and halves the same way... I didn't even think of a neat way to store them like that-i just put them in my 3 drawer tower! I wish the DH would let me do that..its so much prettier than just toting it all! joy in all things chassie
City-bound for now! Looking for my little piece of heaven...

Posted - Aug 15 2010 : 09:07:19 AM I really like that-hmmm where would I put it? I have a big plastic bag next to my sewing machine that's overflowing with fabric, not to mention at least 2 plastic storage containers in the attic. But that is an awesome idea.

Posted - Aug 14 2010 : 11:55:50 AM Okay, first that is just too "kewl" and who designed your blog? I found someone who does on another farmgirls blog, but lost their info. oiy! I'm organizing my fabric next week. It will be a great project for me to do. I have probably around 100 different fabrics in a rubbermaid tub. What a hassle everytime I'm looking for something. I love your creative mind!

Posted - Aug 14 2010 : 11:45:16 AM Love it! For right now, I roll mine up like bathcloths and put them in a big basket. Looks cute but I think I like this idea better.

Posted - Aug 14 2010 : 09:46:05 AM I love that idea. Thanks for sharing it. I am going to go look at the craft room and see what I can do to make it a little more user friendly. Right now all the fabric is on shelves in milk crates and rubbermade totes.

Posted - Aug 14 2010 : 07:40:17 AM What a wonderful idea!!! I wonder how many shelves I would need to handle the 43 forty gallon plastic totes I have stored. That does cover the 50+ Block of the months I have collected or the 27 quilt kits. Talk about addiction....good thing it's not drugs or alcohol. giggles, CArmen MJFG #1443
