Posted - Jul 22 2010 : 12:45:25 PM I have just completed two Victorian Aprons. Both from the same pattern a Butterick historical pattern. They were very easy to make and I enjoy having longer aprons to wear. I have posted them on my blog. The first one:http://sweetlocuslane.blogspot.com/2010/07/victorian-apron.htmlThe second one:http://sweetlocuslane.blogspot.com/2010/07/second-victorian-apron.html Marlyn

Posted - Jul 25 2010 : 05:45:42 AM Ladies - I did find this pattern on e-bay and purchased one of them, there are a few there but they are a bit pricey! Go to e-bay, and put in Butterick and the pattern number wanted and they should pop up! |

Posted - Jul 24 2010 : 7:21:51 PM Marlyn, Your aprons are beautiful, quite honestly I didn't know the history of aprons but I do remember hiding under a few as a child. My mom used to always wear aprons when I was little, I wish she would have saved them. Oh well! Maybe I should start a new family tradition and make some aprons for my future grandchildren to hide under. I would save the aprons for them but knowing me I would forget where I put them. Thanks for inviting us into your blogspot it is gorgeous.....Karen O.

Posted - Jul 22 2010 : 12:51:08 PM Great job! I really like your blog and the story of the apron. That is so true. I think my mom used her apron for almost all those things. Really loved the comment about the apple pie. So true.
