I was given a Brother PE 180D Disney embroidery machine. It doesn't have the cord or foot pedal, so I am going to have to replace that.

I was wondering if anyone has one or has used one before. Looking for some help on how to use. Is it worth getting more insert cards for it?

I don't have the Brother, but a Singer XL100. My mom got me the Amazing Box as a gift and I love it. I have tons of designs I downloaded or were sent to me. I just wish I knew how to sew because I would use it more often!!

City-bound for now! Looking for my little piece of heaven...

Hi Angie,
I LOVE my Brother embroidery machine, and I sew with it too! I haven't bought any of the "commercial" cards, but what I DID invest in was something called The Ultimate Box and the basic Embird software (downloadable). The Box comes with a blank card and attaches to your computer. I download everything from websites...some free, some I buy. It loads onto the card and then I put it into my machine. I have been very very happy with it. Email me if you'd like more information.

Thank you SO much. I was looking all over the net the other day and didn't stumble on this one! That is MOST helpful. =)

hmmm Angie, I don't know. We just moved and it's anyone's guess where it is. I actually don't think I ever read it (whoops!) The machine's nice and easy to use, and you do not need the foot pedal unless you're using it as a sewing machine. Feel free to email me with ?'s about the machine and maybe I can give you a good answer! I'll let you know if I find the manual too.

Sheila
Thanks for replying. I actually found a cord that will fit it from another machine. Maybe I don't need the foot pedal after all??? You wouldn't happen to have the instruction book that came with yours? I'd be happy to pay you for the postage to borrow it and then send it back to you???

I have one and love it. I only use it for embroidery, so I don't use the foot pedal. The cards are pricey, but you can do some fun designs with it!
