Do you use clear thread or quilting thread? The instructions I read over mentioned clear, and I tried that. I have a horrible time seeing what I'm doing (ha ha ha!). What do you use that holds well?

I use a real strong thread when making yoyo's when sewing together because I do scrappy ones mostly I use up all the little odds and ends of thread it really only shows on the back so I am good with it there is an entire group on fliker dedicated to yoyos

there is also a ton of info on my blog about yoyos both fabric and crocheted

have a lovely day and may God bless you and keep you safe

I use quilting thread when I'm forming the yo yo's. Otherwise, I tend to break the thread when I pull the gathering with my "massive strength"! I find it works well when sewing them together too, but I do like the idea of using thread to match the fabric. What are you making with your yo yo's?

I have just used whatever matches your fabric & it has done great! Maybe they think the clear would be stronger but I have never had any problems.
