Posted - Jun 15 2010 : 08:56:20 AM I got this idea from reading a post from emsmommy. I thought it would be fun to see what is on other farmgirls lists. A "Bucket list" is things you want to learn and do before you kick the bucket.
My list is mostly craft things I want to learn It is far from finished but at least it is a start.
1. Learn to spin (dog hair and angora) 2. Learn to do leatherworking 3. Learn to knit 4. Move back out to the country 5. Raise chickens for eggs 6. Make candles (I have all the stuff but never enough time) 7. Make a hexagon quilt 8. Get all of the Farmgirl Badges 9.

Posted - Jun 18 2010 : 11:49:35 AM It's so great to see everyone's list! 1. Go to France 2. Sing a French Cabaret song 3. Buy a little cottage at the coast or in the country. 4. Go to every state fair. 5. Own a bakery or an antique store, vintage craft store 6. Learn to quilt 7. Learn to sew my own clothes 8. Become an accomplished writer. 9. Have a small dog rescue 10. Learn to knit a sweater. 11.This is huge and something I am working on now. I want to do an art exhibit or a documentary about how urban cities need rural areas are vice versa. I want to show that everyone around the country have connections in some way. I also want to write a book/photograph people on their family farms and document how important the history is. That should probably go to #1. It is my life long goal/dream.

Posted - Jun 15 2010 : 10:10:25 AM Mmmm....my list is long and ever growing LOL. I am happy to say, though, that I have done most of the things that were on my list 10 or 25 years ago! Learn to tat with a shuttle 6. Raise chickens 7. Start & maintain a beehive 8. Grow 95% of my food (I love to cook and refuse to give up exotic spices or tea lol) 9. Scrap all my family photos 10. Learn canning 11. Learn to make my own miso 12. Make my way through all the classic Western literature
lucky I have always said I will live to be 100!!!
