Fellow farmsister Annika shared this with me: http://www.jcarolinecreative.com/Merchant2/peasantskirt_inst.html
And I made the skirt! I was pretty proud of myself since it was the first piece of clothing I'd even sewn (except for aprons) and it acutally didn't turn out horrible!
Since I'm a little illiterate on how to add a photo here I'll link to my blog which has the story and a photo!

Great Job Heather. Loved the skirt. I am very short so I always feel dumpy
in skirts but I love them on everyone else.

Blessings,

That is such a pretty skirt! If I had any sewing skills whatsoever, I would try making that.

Nice job on your skirt! I looked at your blog a bit and must say that your daughter's skirt is wonderful, too. BTW, I have a 4 year old and 6 year old who would race Timber at getting rid of their shoes when outside. :-)

Heather,
You did an awesome job! I too have just started to sew clothing after making quilts for the last couple years. Lets say it's been a challenge! I will definitely be making a skirt from this pattern for the summer.

Beautiful! My seven year old was looking over my shoulder while I was looking at the skirt on your blog and he said "Mom, you should make one of those. That's pretty!" Which I figure is a compliment to you, because the last skirt he suggested I make was a "Star Wars" skirt with Yoda on the front and Darth Vader on the back. :) I think yours would turn out much better!!

Thanks everyone, I really can't say enough how thankful I am for this pattern. It has certainly given me more confidence in garment sewing! :)

LOL I made a skirt from that same site last summer. I made it from a vintage white sheet and it looks awesome. It is SO easy this way. Good job you did too Heather :-)
