Posted - Mar 15 2010 : 12:42:40 PM I am so proud of these overalls. This is my first time using the serger that my hubby got me for Christmas. I made these out of the arms of an old wool sweater I found at the SA. They work as a great waterproof cloth diaper cover because they are wool. And they are so adorable on my little guy! Not bad for a repurposed sweater, right?

Posted - Mar 16 2010 : 5:01:11 PM Siobhan, I too struggle with the pull towards knitting and the pull towards sewing. Right now, knitting is winning out due to 2 swaps!! Did you make up the overall pattern, or did someone else? I'd love to make a pair for a friend. I don't have a serger though- yet! But I think I can go use one at a friend's house. ~ Mary LD

Posted - Mar 16 2010 : 07:43:35 AM Thanks everyone! I think he's pretty cute, but I'm biased.
Therese, I'm not sure what my next project will be. I don't get to do projects very often. Busy, busy busy. Right now I am trying to finish up knitting a romper for my friend who is having a baby any day now. And I have a blanket to finish knitting for my sister's baby boy. So, when the knitting gets finished, then I will play with my serger a bit more. :)
