I made a mock up of this today, from an old sheet!! And yes, it DOES fit!!!
What a fun project- so rewarding, with so little sewing involved to make it quickly!

Mary LD, I know what ya mean. I had a young lady who was in the same boat as you are. I have the patience to deal with people who have problems that can't seems to grasp simple things. It took her few years to learn how to sew to the point where she can do simple things.

These are adorable. Great stocking suffers for the girls!

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Moodene,
I just took a very brief gander at this- glad my foot is not quite wide! I'm so glad to have a friend who is taented in this way. I'm a bit dyslexic in some ways, and I see things backwards a couple of times before I can understand things like change of dimentions/ directions! Never learned to do alterations- yet!

Oh, forgot to add: in order to increase the width of the slipper, You need to like cut down thru the center of the slipper in half, tape one side to a sheet of paper and then lay the other piece right next to the first half you taped, put your finger on the heel part at the bottom because you are going to pivot the top half to make it wider. If you have a large heel, you can add abit to it after you do the top half first. Then taped the other half of the pattern down..then draw a line between to 2 peices of the pattern. I can show ya'll in photos if anyone can't get it.

Aren't these just the sweetest! Thanks for sharing Annika! They'd be perfect to wear around the house after church. I hate picking my nylons. And how cute they are...boy, they gotta be comfy!

Thanks, Moodene!
I'll take a closer look at what I would have to do for this pattern to work.
Glad you could read my henscratch on the other project, LOL!
Not to mention, you understood my narrative!

In order to increase or decrease the size you would have to do some in the heel area and in the ball of the foot area..See I have short wide feet so I would have to widen the ball of the foot area n decrease in the heel area..lol..sounds complicated but it isn't.
Mary, Soon as my kids go home, I will have your dress pattern all figured out by then..It was so easy..lol

Thank you for the pattern site. I have the pattern on my table as soon as the Grand-baby goes down for a nap I will be enlarging and sewing. I'm going to enlarge about an inch all the way around. I'll let you know how it works on Wednesday.

Thanks, Dutchy! I guess it would be good to make a pair from cute scraps, and that way, if they don't fit perfectly, they are still cute and still good- with no $ spent!
I think I will try just enlarging/ lenghtening the heel.

As far as I see it, it is JUST on the heel part?? But maybe you can tweak it all-over, for a better fit on the front as well. I have narrow feet so won't need that much space up front, but got a "long" foot (size 9) so REALLY need to enlarge it, lol

Do you ladies who have printed the pattern, thonk that the enlarging/ decreasing to fit is really just on the heel end, or overall on the whole pattern?
Pattern modification is not my forte'!
