What items to sell? I have my hands in so many different crafts that I don't know really what would be the best sellers. I know what I like but knowing what is the big hit right now, not sure! Anyone have any suggestions on knowing a good place to start? I'd love to hear from you. I can so some knitting, crocheting, needlework, sew and all kinds of papercrafts. See why it's hard to choose! HELP!

Blessings, Brenda

I know what you mean Brenda about trying to do something different. I'm working on some idea? Well let you know when I decide. The problem with some of the items I want to make, the material and such items you need is so expensive. I don't mind paying to make it but how do you make any money? Do you have a way of figuring out what you sell amount will be and still make some?Like your tote bags, they sound like they are just beautiful, but the time involved takes awhile. Do you just not consider the time factor in the price? Thanks Brenda for responding to this post. Have a great day.

I don't know if this will help you out or not Brenda, but I always thought that if I was going to have an Etsy shop, or sell at a craft fair, I would want something a little different than everyone else was doing. Maybe because that's the way that I buy. :)
For instance- so many people knit baby sweaters, hats and booties. i am always looking for the ones that are a different style than all the others.
And, I've been making tote bags. For Christmas for my girls I actually embroidered the outside layer of each bag before putting them all together, or else I make patchwork square bags. The same product yes, as all the other tote bags out there, but with a little different look.
And, I've recently discovered that I can knit a dishcloth with a design on it, a flower, or an emblem, etc. as quickly as I can one that is just plain. A little different.
Does this make sense? I hope it helps you out....
