This is the 1st time I submitted application for merit badges. I have not heard back...do I need to include my membership #, how do I retrieve that if I've misplaced my original kit(it's here somewhere in the house, but I have no idea where I put it)?
Thanks

Hey ladies, sounds like you are getting this worked out, sorry I didn't jump in sooner.. but then... farmgirls know what they're doing, right. As far as the badges.. "some taking longer than others to be approved", There is quit a process that goes into having them approved. First Gabe or Kevin will look them over and then they will go to MaryJane for approval. Then I will get to see them, and then back for posting. All of this is done between writing the magazine, taking photos, cooking in the farm kitchen, stitching room projects at the farm... (and the list goes on), so it just kind of depends what is on the front burner at THAT moment when badges are submitted. I know from first hand experience it is the thing that everyone loves to be doing as it is fun to sit and read and thumb through the applications and hear the buzz of.. "WOW did you see what sister so-n-so, just submitted".. but like with any farm there are chores that get in the way. SO continue to be patient knowing full well the farm is just as eager to get to them as you are to have them be "gotten" too.

If you have questions about a badge that YOU submitted, you can email your inquiry to meritbadges@maryjanesfarm.org as that email goes to several farm-hands to insure that the questions get answered.

CJ is correct. You should receive a thank you after you hit submit. If you didnt then there may be an issue. I ALWAYS write all of my submissions into WORD and then Cut and paste into the application box. That way if I have to re-submit then all I need to do is to cut and paste again. I then save the submissions under the badge that I can requesting. It seems to work well for me.

You ladies take good care of one another... I really love that!

Karen, I don't remember getting that screen so I should probably go ahead and re-submit. Thank You!!

Just a curious question...did you get the "thank you" for submitting your badge notice after hitting enter? I ask because I did not know there was one (thought there should of been) and I waited and waited....nothing. I went searching around on threads and found out I did not enter the crazy letters/numbers correctly and it did not go through. When I did it all right I got the "thank you" and within a few hours I was on the Woo-Hoo page! If you look around on the threads here you can pretty much figure out anything...like being an investigator :-)

Gabe is awesomw at helping, it took me a while to get my first badge, and if it wasn't for Gabe I'd still be trying!!!

Rodeorise, your number is 597, just looked you up on the members list.
I would contact Gabe, maybe you need to resubmit your application with your number included.

Sometimes it can take a while and other time it is almost immediate. Don't resubmit yet give them some time. When you submitted do you get a page that said your application was received. If not then you might want to try again. You can also check the Woo-Hoo sisters page and see if there are dates on there that are for after you submitted.

Out of curiosity, I submitted my first badge application 2 weeks ago, but I still haven't seen anything on the badge thread. Anyone have an idea how long it takes before a badge is posted?

Try contacting Gabe. He should be able to get it for you or tell you who to contact. I checked the members page but our numbers are not there. And yes your do have to include your membership # to apply for a badge.
