Production of new shows has already ceased. To me, this is the best quilting show on television and I would hate to see it stop.
Here are the addresses for phoning or e-mailing if you do not want the show to end. If everyone on this forum were to fire off a quick e-mail they would be overwhelmed and it might make a difference.

Posted - Apr 12 2006 : 2:51:04 PM Thanks Nancy. I would have to upgrade to digital cable to get DIY so yes I would get a ton more channels but who knows if there is anything I would really want. I'll have to check on the listings on the internet for a week or so. Its only $10. or so a month and I guess if you want any crafts at all that's where you're going to find it.

Posted - Apr 11 2006 : 4:07:49 PM kathy I like DIY, but don't think I would pay extra just for that, unless there were other channels you got along with that one that you would like. Sometimes by upgrading you will get a whole bunch of new stuff, at least in my area you do , but if its nothing that you would watch then it can add up. Look at the DIY program guide and see what is on all day that would interest you before you make up your mind. NANCY JO |

Posted - Apr 11 2006 : 4:05:49 PM Carol Duvall is definitely gone as soon as all the shows that were done are shown. I wrote to HGTV yesterday regarding their programming. Haven't heard back.

Posted - Apr 11 2006 : 3:22:29 PM I also believe that the Carol Duvall Show will be disappearing. On one of her recent shows she announced that this was the last show that they would be making but that we shouldn't panic because they had 100 previously unseen shows "in the can". So HGTV really won't have any crafting left at all. I don't really take the show That's Clever seriously since most of time you have to have expensive equipment to duplicate what the crafters do. I guess I'm going to have to spend the extra and get DIY. Those of you that already get it, is it worth it to spend money for a cable upgrade?

Posted - Apr 10 2006 : 1:14:25 PM I looked on the Do It Yourself network and found that they air Simply Quilts on M/W/F at 6:30AM Pacific time. Don't know if it is also going to be discontinued..............hope not. ![](icons/icon_smile.gif)

Posted - Apr 10 2006 : 11:57:47 AM You're right, Kay. I used to watch it all the time too. But so many of the shows are gone and I don't need to see fixing up some overpriced apartment with edgy and hip stuff. It's okay to have 1 or 2 of those shows, but all the good ones are gone. I loved Country Style too. Will write in, Mary.

Posted - Apr 10 2006 : 09:31:53 AM I used to love HGTV -- watched it all the time for the gardening shows and craft shows. Now I don't watch it at all. I hate the direction it's taken. Almost all decorating shows and they are mostly geared to a young, edgy crowd! Simply Quilts and Country Style were my two favorites left. I will definitely be writing!
