Let us know how you like it. I think you will be surprised at how much you will use it and how much easier it makes fitting. I don't know how I ever sewed without mine.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I just ordered a Dritz My Double Deluxe (50% off at Joann's), and I did see the My Twin by Dritz as well. I can't wait to get it. I had some 50th birthday money to use, and since my husband won't let me get a goat...Thank you for taking the time to respond to my questions. I love being part of the Farmgirl Sisterhood. Dianne

I think the ones I have were made by Dritz or singer - I don't remember as I had them so long. They were purchased at JoAnns whatever brand they were...As for me, I have a rounded tummy so I made a pillow that fits the form so when I fit for me, the form is more accurate as to how the garment will hang. I am still trying to come up with a way to make a padded (like me) cover that will zip on and off so when I am fitting for someone else re-sizing is easier. I am not large enough for the queen size form but the smaller one is way to flat to be like my shape either. Good luck on your search. I found the vintage ones were too slight in the shoulders and hips for most people I know plus it took a lot to adjust all the nuts and metal slides. I had one and recovered it for my daughter when she was in design school - she's pretty tiny but she just sold hers in lieu of purchasing a professional model that even has arms and legs.(too spendy for me). No that isn't the one I was refering to. The two I have are fully adjustable - they have dials to adjust sizing. I have a regular and a queen size. One of these days I would love to have a child sized one too. It makes sewing for others so much easier.

I don't think they make that much plaster for me...I need ( the michelin man) form. lol...I do have one at my shop that is an antique but it is not adjustable and very mmmmm slim ;)

WOW! I checked out My Twin and it seems expensive and alot of work. Are we talking about the same one--you wrap yourself in plaster and the company casts the form? It didn't seem adjustable either. Comments? Dianne

I love my dressmakers form. I have a my twin and it adjusts pretty easily. I don't know how I ever sewed without one. I have been sewing on one for over 25 years as well. It sure makes fitting a dream.

Dianne I have one that is called My Twin, love it and have used it for over 25 years. It is adjustable so it has been great when sewing for others.
