I would like to knit something for my boyfriend #9829;A#9829;. I started with a scarf but he is never ever cold, not even in a very cold winter duh. SO any other ideas for something to make for a man? Other than a scarf, hat, socks or gloves.

Prefer crochet but knitting is fine too.

PLEASE I need ideas

Hugs from Marian/Dutchy, a farmgirl from the Netherlands :)

Duthcy,
I once made a case for my daughter's eye glasses - silk lining a little batting and some nice soft leather from an old purse of mine.
She used it for a while and then quit wearing her glasses so I used it for a couple of years and now my husband has his sun glasses in it. Very easy!

Dutchy . . . I've been married to my hubby for 41 years and I STILL don't know what to get him for Christmas, birthdays, Father's Day or anniversaries!!!!
I really do KNOW him, but . . .

Camo cup cozy or a manly color anyways.

Thanks gals. I think I will stick with the scarf for now. Don't know him too well yet, lol. And indeed a scarf is also a nice thing to wear loose.
Thanks again for the ideas and will keep them in mind for later reference ;)

I made my husband a knitted cover for his side of the bed. He uses it every night. I used broomstick (vrey large) knitting needles, and two yarns together, so it knitted up really quickly. I did it in "man cave" colors, and mixed some of my hand spun and some chunky store bought. Every man gets cold at night after his body temp falls. It's a good bet!! Merry Christmas!!

I agree with Linda - I made my two sons (twenty somthing ages) crocheted throw pillows with also a matching throw blanket. Both tell me they love curling up with them while watching a movie or reading a good book. Both are outdoor nuts so a great skull cap also was on the gift giving. One year I lockerhooked but you could crochet a great rug for their feet to touch as they crawl out of bed. Another idea is a messanger bag. I crocheted mine then felted it. Added a small bike gear as the closure and a great one of kind gift that they can use everyday... Good luck

I have made throw pillows for men and they love them. Pick out a color that goes with his living room furniture. Knitting would work and so would crochet. You could have the back side regular fabric to make it easier.

Scarfs can be decorative too!! A scarf to hang around his neck, you know hanging down on either side, not wrapped around, would look very nice! I say go ahead and finish the scarf, I have a feeling you will see him wearing it! ;)

Cell phone/ipod cozy? You could knit and felt it. Design your own!
