Hi Gals

My friend made palm wax pillar candles in metal molds and they wont come out..she used mold release and everything...We were thinking of using a hot water bath to soften the outer layer a bit in the hopes of sliding them out...Any Suggestions??

Thanks so much
Jenn

when i get candles stuck in my containers i get out my canner and fill it with water and just simmer it. Eventually the candle will just slip right out, but be careful when grabbing it that you dont burn your fingers, use tongs!

Maybe use a hair dryer on high. JoAnn

I would put them in the freezer. This works with soap as well. Heat makes things expand (or melt) and cold makes them contract. The candles should get smaller allowing them to slip out of the mold. But I only have experience with paraffin and beeswax candles.

I would suggest the hot water bath.
