Okay, I had a coupon for Michael's and went 2 different times and got this quilt package
It is butterflies
it will be pretty if'n I ever get it done
I only brought 2 ; it is a good thing; because the thread a loan is breaking my budget
I ordered some on line as I needed a lot of 2 or 3 colors of green
Warning;
no matter how pretty those quilt blocks look
It is going to be expensive to buy to fit a full size or a king size bed
I only brought 2 packages; seeing the blocks out of the package these are really big blocks
I am going to add wide sashing.
I am not going to make a large quilt again
I have made 9 huge full size bed quilts all hand quilted ; the first 3 were hand pieced
I love to do them; but they can really be harm full to one's neck, shoulders etc,
I am the only one in my family left to quilt
it takes almost a full year just to hand quilt them
I have a large quilting frame,/ ( another long story) it quilts up to a king size
I am thinking on having hubby cut it down some
But , then again
I am going to try the quilt as you go thingy
I have one quilt in the process of being done.
So,
I have learned no matter how pretty those quilt squares can be ; they can break ones pocket book, Lol
lesson learned
Hope I can remember it when temptation strikes. ha. hugs sheila

I had to giggle as I have been quilting for about 3 years. I don't do hand quilting but I have come to the conclusion how you quilt doesn't matter as each project has a way of getting in the pocketbook. I have this thing for beautiful material but thankfully I am putting it to use on two quilts right now...I feel your pain my dear
