I was up at 4:30am this morning and on the road by 5:15....off to catch the bus to go to Leavenworth, WA. for their quilt show....along the way we 'visited' the best quilt shops in Moses Lake & Ephrata as well as in Leavenworth....
I am discovering something about myself...and that is, I tend to have a love for Embellished quilts.....the more I study quilts the more I love the use of metalic threads, lace, buttons and yoyos....
One again I took a gazillon photos, but am only posting a few here.
Hope you enjoy them.

this is the block I made for our group. The Ohio Star..

a tribute to lavender.

quilt with yoyo flowers.

new spin on a crazy quilt.

The Hat Shop. The gloves really were an actual pair of lace gloves.

I 'sew' wish I had the talents to have made these (above) quilts......or to be the 'care takers' of them....
I love community quilt shows.

I love your yo-yo flower quilt and crazy quilt.

I love Leavenworth! I use to live on the other side of Stevens Pass on Highway 2. It was always a treat to go there.

For tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, but keep me, guide me, love me, Lord just for today.

I know what you mean about getting sucked in. The first time I saw an antique Crazy Quilt I spent forever looking at every detail of it. The maker had really shown off her talent with all the different stitches she used over every seam and all the other things like ribbon flowers, rushing with beads, silk cigar ribbons. It was long before everyone started carrying camera's, so I put the quilt to memory.
Your trip sounds so fun, nothing like enjoying a great quilt show.

Smiles, Melody June

God's gift to you are your talents, your gift to Him is how you use them.
