Anybody make these yet? The pattern says to cast on 30 stitches (32 if you have a larger foot) . Next row k3, p27 (29 for larger foot), k3. Doesn't that make 33 st? JoAnn |

Mine were about right width wise but I think I should have maybe knitted one more row. I just guesstimated on the 2 inches! But I still love the slipper- it is kindof like sock!

I have a normal width, size 7 foot. I knit the super easy and it was too narrow and too short. My next go round (I stopped after one) I'll make them about 36 wide and knit the full length of my foot, stopping at the last knuckle of my big toe before I start the reducing stitch width.

I think the little strap makes the slippers, otherwise they look like the hundreds of other knitted slippers out there. That said wouldn't they look cute with a yo yo with a button in the middle of the yo yo. JoAnn |

You can always put dots of puffy t shirt paint on the bottoms of the slippers, that also makes it no slip:)

Sherrie, they are SO cute!! I love that kind of slippers, have hardwood floors but somehow my feet stay warmer in this kind of things than they do in socks, lol. y feet are always cold (summer AND winter) so am going to make me some more pairs. And yes, ALSO the slipperswap will gimme 2 pairs YAY!!( swapping with 2 gals myself, due to the odd nr ;) CLEVER ME LOL)

I did what Angela did with the pattern-I had to downsize the knittin needles for my lil feet,and now I'm shopping for the tread syuff you cut out & sew to the sole of the slippers so you don;t slip (hard wood floors & tile here) Easy pattern-I'll post a picture in my plucky farmgirl blog (see link below and give me 5 min to post it!)

I've made about a dozen pair already! Guess what all my nieces are getting for Christmas, LOL! I didn't put the strap on, but I did sew a nice big button on the front for decoration. Looks really cute! |

I have one done and it fits great! I might even sew a little further up so won't need the strap! I think it would be fantastic to wear these as a thick hidden sock in my shoes! So comfy!

I saw the error too, but I just k3 and purl until the LAST 3. No biggie, the crochet pattern is also off by one chain. You need to ch one more than the pattern to work the pattern as printed.
However, I LOVE the slippers!!!
Dutchy, go to the barter forum and look a few months back, I swapped Melody some yarn for soap and she posted pics of the slippers:)
Plus you may be finding some in your mail Marian:)

Well I have been working on these slippers since late last night. I got several inches done and somehow I messed up, the slipper was nice and flat and then somehow I must have done something to my stitches and instead of being flat the next inch or so was raised up- like it was embossed. I am sure I reveresed my stitches some how but I haven't knitted enough to unravel and reknit very well so I decided to do the Super easy knitted slippers first and then I will do the Easy knitted slippers :D

Hi Gals!
There was a simple math error/misprint so here is the corrected pattern:
Easy Knitted Slippers
Materials:
100 gm worsted weight yarn
Size 7 knitting needles
Size 7 double-pointed needles
Gauge: 4" x 4" = 17 stitches and 24
rows in stockinette st
Foot
1. Cast on 30 stitches (32 for a wide
foot).
2. Row 1: k3, p24 (p26), k3.
3. Row 2: k all sts.
4. Repeat rows 1 and 2 until slipper
measures 3" shorter than foot.
5. Row 1: p all sts
6. Row 2: k all sts
7. Repeat these rows for 2", or until
slipper measures 1" shorter than foot,
ending with row 1.
8. k 2 tog across row; 15 (16) sts
remain.
9. p 2 tog across row; 8 (8) sts remain.
10. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Pull
through 8 remaining stitches and sew up
the toe of the slipper about 2", until you
get to the ridged “trim.”
11. Fold in half and sew the heel
together along the cast-on edge.
Strap (Optional: make the same strap as
the Super-Easy Knitted Slipper)
1. Cast on 5 sts on a double-pointed
needle.
2. Knit in I-cord fashion for 5½": knit
the stitches, and then transfer the needle
to the left hand, but don’t turn it—the
working yarn will still be hanging to the
left side. Slide the stitches to the right
side of the needle, and knit the stitches
again using another double-pointed
needle. Repeat this process for 5½".
Make sure you pull the yarn tightly for
that first stitch so that the yarn will pull
the ends together to make a cord after a
few rows.
3. Buttonhole: turn knitting and p one
row.
4. k 1, k 2 tog, yo, k 2.
5. p one row.
6. Cut yarn, draw through stitches and
weave in end.
7. Sew strap to one side of slipper. Sew
button on the opposite side.
8. Repeat for second slipper, sewing on
strap for opposite foot.

MMMM yes it does make 33 stitches.
Better "wing" it lol. I sometimes find mistakes in patterns too and just try to make them a little different then. Maybe just cast on some more stitches, or knit fewer ones?? You're using yarn so it stretches anyways ;)
