It looks great. Just in time for quilt weather. Love the colors.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Thank you all! I am happy with it for my first, but like I said before, it is ffffaaaaarrrrr from perfect. I am now stitching the binding on the outside, and that is surprisingly easier than I thought. However I can only work on it a little at a time because my fingers get sore, I haven't gotten the hang of using a thimble yet:) LOL

You know we will want to see the quilt once it is all done. Your mom in law is going to be soooooo excited. I love when someone loves their mom in law just as much as their mom. You've got a good heart Angela.

Angela, great job on your first quilt! Are you quilting by hand or machine? I understand about ripping stitches, I have become very proficient (sp?) at unsewing, I have a very close relationship with my seam ripper!!;)

What a pretty quilt, but, I'm having a real hard time believing this is your first ever, lol ?!?! Either way you are a really sweet D-in-Law, and you have a lucky Mom-in-Law.

Thank you ladies.
Sharon, yes this is my first "real" quilt. I did sew some squares together and then put it on a piece of fleece but really it was totally different than quilting. I have also done a pillow but it only required 2 squares so that doesn't really count. This is the first time I had made a quilt block or anything.
I am making this for my MIL for Christmas. She bought me a VERY expensive sewing machine for my 30th birthday, back in May. She was raving about the quilts in the store. So I decided come h@#$ or high water I was going to make this dear woman a quilt for Christmas. I am happy with it so far.
However, it is not perfect (by far) a lot of my points do not come together quite right, but it isn't too bad.

Thanks for all of your input and praise, I appreciate it!!
