I am hoping I can count on the great suggestions of you talented ladies - I have unearthed a large stash of ladies patterned flannel material lurking in my stash. So here is the problem - it has been ages since I have made me Nightgowns or PJ's so do you have any advice on a pattern you use??? Simple and fast is best for the goat's don't care and I am not a frilly kind of a gal..

Please help I have limited time to search all the website (dial up is a pain) so I am counting on your help. PLEASE

Thanks in advance.

Cindy - your right I always wished my PJ's had pockets - great thinking. I will put that into my plan. It is amazing how we do not remember those little things until someone points them out. Thanks Cindy...

Marian - love the site - bookmarked it so I can view it often. I once had a pattern from Germany that was a great pants pattern - in all my reorganizing around here I did not come across it but I might still have a pair of the pants so I can deconstruct them and remake the pattern. Great idea and thanks for sharing the site.

Here is a pattern I found for the pants. I also looked for tops but could not find those. These look SO comfy :)

Hi Grace,
I Love flannels and last year mad PJ bottoms with a pants pattern, coz I wanted pockets. They have an elastic waist and are nice and loose fitting, warm and soft.

I am not sure Victoria if there are any Hancock's within a 70 mile circle of me but I sure will check. I too make up my own patterns but I thought I might see what other's are doing. I have been amazed on how many apron patterns there are out there and some just do not make sense for a workable apron so I figured the same might be true in the bedroom clothing department. I have about 30 yards of flannel so it is not like I have to watch the yardage but I really hate to waste fabric on something that is worth while. Thanks for getting the ball rolling ladies and I still would love to have more ideas - ie, company name, pattern number and maybe why you like the finished Pj or Nightgown.

Again, thanks for sharing ladies.

I make my PJ pants without a pattern, just simple baggy straight legs with a draw string at the waist, mens under shirt style tank top for a shirt. p.s., a pair of sweats taken apart makes a good pattern.

I wish I hidden fabric I could just "come across" :) Your pjs will be wonderfully cozy in flannel. Victoris is right, they have some sew simple patterns for pjs. I made my 5 year old a pair of flannel pj pants last Christmas. Have fun on your search!!

Hi Grace, I don't know if you have a Hancock fabric store close but over the next couple of weeks they are having some wonderful sales. August 27-30 all of their Butterick Patterns are on sale for 99 cents, Sept 3-7 the Simplicity patterns are on sale for 1.99 and Sept 6-7 the McCall's patterns are 99 cents. All of them have specific easy to sew patterns.

Begin each morning with a song in your heart.
