I'm getting ready to start on making snowmen for this Christmas' gifts. Normally I just use sweater sleeves to make the snowman's shirts and hats, but this year I think I would like to try felting them first.

Ok first I know nothing about felting. Please does anyone know where I can find a tutorial on this?

I was browsing sweaters at the goodwill the other day and found a beautiful one. It was made of wool and angora. I know you can felt wool, but can you felt angora too? Or what would be the best material for felting?

Thank you!

Melanie

Thanks Shelia! I've been afraid to try it. It's such a pretty sweater and I hate to ruin it.

I've done angora blends. . .felted up nicely--my daughter has a winter hat made of an angora/wool/acrylic blend that is nice and warm.
