i made these fans for my daughters graduation dinner and party, and we had a really good time with them. i thought i would share them here in case someone else needs a party favor that folks can take home and have fun with.

the fans here say "i'm an anne fan!" and "graduation 2009".
since her degree is in deaf education i used the sign for I love you and incorporated it into the fan.
i made 75 fans and the cost was about 35.00, so i guess the fans ran about .50cents each.
i hope you can use this idea too for a party favor.

I love the fans too! Great idea. There's a gal in Berea KY whose business is making beads. It's called Hot Flash Beads. http://www.kaht.net/multiple/hfbead_1.htm She's got a GREAT fan that says Hot Flash Fan on it. I love it! Works so well for when "one has the vapors".....

Frannie,
I love the fans and would like to see a tutorial on how you made them. I have 8 grandchildren ages 3 to 10 and these would be fun to have as favors at our next birthday gathering. The kids would love them with pictures of themselves and their cousins on them. Great idea.
I can relate to your organizational issues...sometimes my hobbies over run each other in my sewing room. I re organize, then get into the next project, and there it goes again...
Glad your chemo is almost done. Hope you are well again very soon!

ooops, nancy jo, i forgot to tell you that if you or any of the other farmgirls ever want to make these fans, they are pretty self explanatory, but if there is enough interest i would post a tutorial on my blog.

thank you nancy, you know i have always loved crafting and especially scrap crafting.
but i dont know if anyone would guess that i am a closet embroiderer. i so love the embroidery that you sent me and aunt jenny as well, and i wish i could do that craft, but it wasnt meant to be, so i am at least glad that i have good farmgirl friends that send me wonderful embroidery as well as many other gifts. i hope to get back on the bunny trail soon and start blogging about them, and finish the ones i have here and i have a few little stories i would actually like to put out there.
you know too many ideas, not enought time. but at least i can really feel the enthusiasm coming back.
today i had my 5th o f 6 chemos, and then i have about 3-4 weeks off before i start radiation and that will be 30 treatments over about a 40 day period.
then i think i can really start crafting again. i will make some big changes i think about that. i really saw some organizational problems that i had before and .....well, some of it was related to my poor health and some of it was absolutely poor organizational skills. so when i start up again i will do things differently and i think that way i wont have the problem of not being able to fulfill orders. ugh, i hated that.

Hi Frannie,
I feel so lucky to have one of your Bunnies. I just love her, and my little horse and apron. Those fans are just the best idea. Aren't you the clever one. I can think of so many ways they could be used. Thanks for showing us.

i hope one day to get back to the bunnies. i loved making them so much. but this time i think i will make them and then sell them, and not take orders. it was a sad thing for me not to be able to fill those orders. i will start crafting with fiber again when my skin quits peeling from the chemo,. and thanks so much for the comment karin!
