Posted - Jul 03 2009 : 6:42:55 PM Toni: I am so glad you are happy with the apron and the soap!! I love to make soap too, so anytime I get a chance, I am working on that with my friend, Deb. I never made hot pads before, so hope they are the right size and they hold their shape. There is insulated batting inside, so you can use them on the table, I think. I had a great time making these things for you, Toni!!

Posted - Jul 02 2009 : 4:58:46 PM Oh MY!!! Words can't describe my apron!!! It is just awesome, beautiful, and I LOVE it. Once again, I am a lucky lady. It fits me great and I wanted to wear it all night after I opened the box. Once again Thank you!! And I received soap another of my favorite things, and two hot pads. I use only handmade soap so this was just a great tuck. Toni |

Linda I think it doesn't what your age wear what you fancy and find comfortable that is my motto. Show us a pic if you make it. I am going to see if I can find the pattern too I saw one similar online with a square collar from the 40's.
Diana do you have your apron?

Posted - Jun 30 2009 : 05:54:41 AM The ones I wear don't cover the whole back but sport bras cover enough anyway. Yours could also be called a pinafore?

In the hot weather I wear a sport bra with apron over it..and shorts or capri...cool that way.

Posted - Jun 30 2009 : 05:37:50 AM The pattern is Indygo Junction. It's called In-Over-Your-Head. For the most part, it was relatively easy to put together, just a little confusing with attaching the collar, but once I saw all the pieces ready to assemble, it was pretty clear how to do it. I finished the other one last night and just love it. Not sure I totally dig putting it over my head yet, but you are completely covered with this apron, so not even a little mess can get on your clothes. It is very comfortable too.

Posted - Jun 26 2009 : 12:10:55 PM Thanks Diana: I think I will be able to leave the thread that is already in there for this apron anyway. It looks to be a close enough match. My husband wants me to get the self-threading one, but mine is a really good machine. I just hate to thread it! LOL

Posted - Jun 25 2009 : 7:03:39 PM Just remember to thread the bottoms first and the needles last. My new one threads itself I just have to get it in to a hole and pump the leaver and it will shoot it all the way through.

Posted - Jun 25 2009 : 6:17:14 PM I am not having a problem yet!! I have not used it in a year or so!! LOL It's just the threading part that sometimes makes me nuts, but this weekend, I will get to it and make it work for me. I will not be defeated by that serger when I like the way it makes my work look.
