Posted - May 17 2009 : 3:51:35 PM I have an embroidery machine and like to incorporate that into my quilts whenever I can. My quilt shop had an embroidery block of the month last year and the finished product is on my blog. I did mine different than everyone in my class and went with a two color scheme, which we were all unsure of, but in the end, it was pretty nice. Do you think I should hand quilt or machine quilt it? Let me know what you think!!

Posted - May 17 2009 : 5:05:58 PM Karin: When I first started machine quilting, I was afraid to do it on my quilts!! thought I would ruin it after all that labor! Now, I love it, but have been practicing for years and years until I felt "at one" with it. I love to hand quilt too, though, but rarely do it at all. It is relaxing. So far, it looks like I will hand-quilt!

Posted - May 17 2009 : 4:52:43 PM Your quilt is beautiful, Sheryl-lyn! I love classic red and white. :) I would hand quilt. I just did my first machine quilting and I'm not sure I really like it. It was much faster, but the jury is still out.

Posted - May 17 2009 : 4:46:15 PM Karen; I think I will probably hand quilt this one. I love to machine quilt too, but this one needs just a little bit of very simple quilting so as not to become too crazy! Thanks!

Posted - May 17 2009 : 4:19:22 PM personally i like hand quilting. i think things are always nicer done by hand. granted it takes longer. but you get more personality with it. of course my opinion may be null and void since i have never done a whole quilt to myself. ;/
