I too think is is a quilting hoop. I plan to get one soon, as I hope to do some hand quilting by hand before RA gets too bad. Have fun with your hoop.

Miss Wilma, if you do find one hanging out in your barn loft, let me know. But don't go to any trouble as I probably could not get it yet. But do please keep me in mind if you find it. That would be a nice thing to have. I am going to start putting together a queen size quilt in the next few months, and it would be nice to just roll it up and get it out of the way. And let me know what the price is so I can start saving for it. I hope to be selling goat kids soon and goat milk, too. So I'll have enuf then. Thank you!

That's what I have. It's oval and has a stand. I've had mine for 25 years now. It's not been used for several years but broke it out a few weeks ago and it's in use again! They are very handy and don't take up much room. My MIL had the kind that hung from the ceiling and rolled up. I'd like to find one of those, too.

Does it have another piece with it that would make the hoop stand - that is a quilting hoop. I have one and love it. The stand is adjustable and really keep that frabic off your lap and tight while stitching. Good find.
