Ok ladies...here are a few more pictures of things I've been making for FarmFair! The first picture isn't a very nice one but you get the idea. They are called "Fairy Blessing Bags"..There is a secret message written on a piece of ribbon that corresponds to the word hand-stitched onto the bag. You can wear it or hang it somewhere. All of the sayings are creations of yours truly.

The welcome stitching is all by hand. I'm so pleased with it.

The Being Simple Clothing is a display sign I made last year. It is handstitched on a piece of linen surrounded and backed with black velvet.

The little girl's dress is modeled 'in motion' by my daughter, Rianna! My mother in law sent me vintage feedsack strips that her mother used to baste along the edge of her quilts because that was the area that tended to wear and tear and get dirty the fastest. She would then take off the strip and wash it leaving the quilt untouched. My MIL saved dozens of these strips and sent me some. I turned them into ruffles for this dress. The red check piece has "purina chow" on the front! I'm thrilled with this one of a kind dress and my MIL is so happy that these treasured vintage pieces are finding new life again! The bloomers Rianna is wearing were made using an old table runner type table cloth that I made into pants. So much fun!

Let me know what you think!!!!

Love your needlework and the fairy blessings are so sweet.

Julia - everything is jus' precious. And the bloomers - well they are my favorite. I guess you have to start super early in order to get a lot made up for the farm fair - but what fun that is!!!! And to think you even stitch the labels inside - that's really a special touch. Best wishes to you and keep on creating!

Lovely things, and the dress and the model are absolutely beautiful. How good that you use all natural fabrics, they are so good for all things, not to mention the environment....I wish I could attend Farmfair, all the previews of farmgirls, the things they make, etc. are just so nice.

That is a precious dress. I am having a great great niece in April and it has made me be so interested in little girls clothing again. My little girl is 20 *sob*.

Thanks for sharing!
