I recently posted a link to a great tutorial online that shows you how to make your own green grocery bags. It's a great sewing project, and can be done in about an hour, possibly a little longer. I have already made three bags and want to make some more so that I can use only cloth bags. You can see the bags that I have made on my blog and also find the link to the tutorial there. The fabric that I used for the blue one, I got at a thrift store in a large chunk, and still have plenty left to make some more bags. Enjoy!

This month's BUST magazine has an ironically adorable handmade shopping bag with repeated "Thank You" embroidered in red, like on the generic plastic bags some stores use. You can see it at bust.com.

I have been making several types of the shopping bags, but I like the shape and style of yours much better. my last bag was made using the fabric calendar that you can find at thrift stores for less than $1.00 and some coordinating print. it turned out cute.

I do like those bags. I have thought of making my own like that. Yours came out great. You have a very cute blog.
