Posted - Feb 09 2009 : 1:19:26 PM I read somewhere on here about cutting some shoe inserts out of felted sweaters. I did some this morning for my hubby's boots. But they are all wadded up at the toes now. What's the best way to get them to stay put???? Should I glue them in or double-sided tape? He has really bad feet and can't feel them due to neuropathy and can't have his feet sliding around in his shoes. I just thought these might help cushion his feet a little more.
Thanks. Kris

Posted - Feb 09 2009 : 1:54:51 PM Hi Kristin
When MaryJane published my felt insoles they did not give all the information. The way I keep mine in place is to get yourself rug tape - the kind you use on floor rugs - works great!!! I can get months of wear out of my insoles without them moving - when you wish to change them out you just cut yourself another stripe..... Pennies per use and really works. I did try velcore and they made a bump that started to really hurt my foot - you know I am such a delicate thing.
Good luck and if you have other questions I will check back in.
