Hi, Julia. You had mentioned in another post something about looking for organic bolts of cloth. Have you ever heard of sally fox? She orchestrated getting natural colored cotton going here in the U.S. Her company, Fox Fiber has grown and offers some really neat stuff. I don't have the website, but there are different places that offer her materials including sliver to be able to spin. I did purchase some of that, but I am not a great cotton spinner Just google fox fiber and you will get suppliers. Have fun! Jenny

Ladies, ladies!! thank you.. I really would love to sew with more organic fabrics..funny thing about sewing clothes for sale..it is a real shift for a lot of people.. so easy to just go to the store and buy something inexpensive there without a thought about the fabric or how the sewing was done. I promise to try and figure out how to post pictures and show off some of the things I make for sale if anyone is interested. I will definitely have a much larger inventory for MaryJane's farm fair next summer..that is, if my husband can deal with me going again. I went for one day and it was almost too much for him.. Poor guy!!
Sql: A teepee.. how cool is that? We have one here that given to us from an airforce survival instructor. My kids LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! We play teepee with bedsheets and blankets too almost every single day while making the beds! I tell you, it is a wonder I get anything done around here! thanks again Julia Hayes

You are most welcome, Julia. I hope you can get your hands on some fabric, let us know if you do and what you decide to do with it.

Jenny, I did the google and found a wonderful story about Sally! WOW what a remarkable person..I never cease to be amazed by the special callings people experience and the ways extraordinary ways in which they answer. I loved it.. I checked her fabric too. She had 3 kinds of organic fleece type material.. I only checked out one website mind you.. The prices were 20 - 40.00/yd!! gasp, sputter, choke! Phew.. not that it wouldn't be worth every single penny in terms of what she's done to make it happen, but golly, it makes it mightly cost-prohibitive for a small scale seamstress like myself. I'll keep trying though.. There has to be more out there!! Thanks again!! Julia Hayes

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!! thank you so much. I am going to google this today and let you know what I find out. Right now, I'm going to have a plastic 'picmic' with my kids! too fun..they are at such an imaginative stage. thank you again for thinking of me.. Funny abt me and google. I find that I don't have the time to search/sift through all the info that comes up and I give up....getting more specific from people who've been there helps me a great deal..have a fabulous day!
