Posted - Feb 02 2009 : 2:59:13 PM Mary Jane in one of her books had a pattern for knitted diaper covers, I finally have a friend who said she would give it a go. I don't own either of the books, AND this friend doesn't live near me. I only got the books for a little while months ago from the library. Now I can't remember which book the pattern was in. I want to be able to tell my friend so when she goes to the library she knows which one to get! lol (my library doesn't have them, they had to be special ordered for me, so it's not as easy as just going back to the library and checking them out again, I'll have to order them again-which took a month last time. And I'm currently on doctor ordered bed rest. And my husband would be way over confused if I sent him to the library on such a mission! lol haha We live in NYC, I can just see his beet red face trying to tell the ladies at the Library he wants two Farm GIRL books! lol haha)
Is it the Life book or the stitching room book? Any one know?

Posted - Feb 05 2009 : 9:53:42 PM Heather- It sure does and if you don't want the pretty printed kind, sometimes I can get it closer to a dollar a yard. But that is usually either white or dark blue.

Posted - Feb 05 2009 : 09:06:09 AM I agree the best would be flannel, french terry cloth has worked well for us too.
Alee, does your flannel ever go on sale for like 2.50 a yard around there?

Posted - Feb 05 2009 : 04:54:31 AM Karen- when I made Nora's diapers I just bought Cotton Flannel from JoAnns and Walmart! Now I prefer cotton Knit fabric as it is really nice to work with as well and has a bit of stretch to it. Either one works fabulous.
