I haven't sewed clothes for myself in ages but I would like to make some long summer skirts and long summer dresses for this summer. Can anyone suggest any patterns they particularly like? I think I always used Simplicity before...

I love those skirts, but never knew they were called Broomstick skirts, lol

I have a couple I bought in Thailand and a few I bought on sale last summer for 4 dollars each. One in yes PINK and one in green, so cute

Hugs from Marian/Dutchy, a farmgirl from the Netherlands :)

I've has a blast with the book, "Sew What? Skirts" http://www.amazon.com/Sew-What-Skirts-Fabulous-Fabrics/dp/1580176259
I've gotten better fit than any commercial pattern, by following the instructions on making your own patterns (EZ too)
you tailor the pattern to your exact measurements and they've got all the styles you could want outlined. I highly recommend it.
