What's BLACK and WHITE and RED all over?

(sorry, there is no way to do white text, so I had to cheat...)

Yes, it's that time again...

Our Valentine's challenge will be related to the question above. Make something for Valentine's Day using only your stash that is black and white and red. Anything goes, as long as it contains more than 50% of the materials from your stash...

Be sure to post photos!

Have fun and happy creating!

Ann -- Thanks for the inspiration for a Valentine's stash project. No need for a participation 'prize' for me -- but thanks everyone for your wonderful comments on my potholder. I love it, too!

Kim and Jess - your participation "prize" went in the mail on Friday.

Katie-Ell - if you'd like one, I'll gladly make you one and send it, but I no longer have your mailing address.

Judith - since you participated, would you like me to send you one also? I have your mailing address.

Kim-- I thought it might make a cute backpack for my daughter for Valentines Day, but she saw it before I finished it and assumed I was making it for her...she thinks everything I make is for her!! LOL So, now I have to think of another V-Day gift for her and be better about keeping it a secret this time. (Tori ends up with more things that I make because she watches me and asks in the middle if it can be for her and usually if I don't have someone in mind already, I can't think of a good reason why she can't have it..LOL

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, cookies in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming. "WOOHOO, What a Ride!"

Jessie, I love it!! That touch of black really makes it special....are you giving it a gift or keeping it all for yourself?

Jessie, that is so pretty! I love the touches of black to it...I have been working on mine...so far I am not doing too good. Tried a couple of things and my dh told me that they were pretty ugly so am working on something else now...(note*my dh usually loves my "stuff" so if he says that they were pretty ugly, they really were)but not to give up! at least I am using up some of my stash! :)

We are usually pretty open-ended about deadlines, so if you get it done by Valentine's day, that's great! I will send out participation ribbons for all who choose to give this a try.

You can use some of your stash to embellish your cards/papercraft items. That's the nice thing about papercrafting versus scrapbooking - whatever you make doesn't necessarily have to last 100 years.

Two Cards:

Cute, aren't they? Precut cardstock, gingham paper, and these litle ladybugs that I had leftover from a Girl Scout project.

Red precut card, white and black cardstock, and red stickles glitter glue. The white "bubble" and the word "love" I did on my new Cricut.
