Posted - Dec 30 2008 : 04:37:51 AM This is the barb wire tree's I make. Hard to get a good picture, but you can get the idea. My son welded the horseshoes on wrong, they were supposed to go on the ends. But told him that was fine.

Posted - Jan 03 2009 : 04:36:14 AM The tree is for my sister. I have made 5 I think, but don't have one myself. I don't know how the people have decorated them. I would make ornaments out of other farm related items.

Posted - Jan 01 2009 : 08:58:53 AM Michele, I love that tree!!!! Are you selling them? I would think the folks at the Sundance catalog would go nuts for this. Do you have enough barbed wire and horse shoes that you could make a bunch of them?

Posted - Dec 31 2008 : 06:38:56 AM Michele, That is so cool! We have a bunch of old barb wire that I keep saying I'm going to make into wreaths. Down here in the Texas Hill Country it is very common to see big barb wire wreaths hanging on the gates of ranches.
I would love to see your baskets.

Posted - Dec 30 2008 : 11:36:00 AM cute! and very farmgirl. Can I call it redneck (same as farmgirl) without you being offended? Jeff Foxworthy would say something like "You might be a redneck if your Christmas tree is made from old barb wire" LOL kidding with love :-)

Posted - Dec 30 2008 : 05:45:08 AM That is really creative! So much fun too! I think you can use that any time of year... Could decorate it for the different seasons. Put lights on it, leaf garlands in fall, etc, or just like it is is great too. Thanks for sharing your photo. I was interested to see what they looked like.
