This is the barb wire tree's I make. Hard to get a good picture, but you can get the idea. My son welded the horseshoes on wrong, they were supposed to go on the ends. But told him that was fine.

I love barb wire crafts

The tree is for my sister. I have made 5 I think, but don't have one myself. I don't know how the people have decorated them. I would make ornaments out of other farm related items.

The tree looks adorable Michele. Did you give it to your brother for Christmas? What kind of ornaments will you put on it?

Michele,
I love that tree!!!! Are you selling them? I would think the folks at the Sundance catalog would go nuts for this. Do you have enough barbed wire and horse shoes that you could make a bunch of them?

Michele,
That is so cool! We have a bunch of old barb wire that I keep saying I'm going to make into wreaths. Down here in the Texas Hill Country it is very common to see big barb wire wreaths hanging on the gates of ranches.

I would love to see your baskets.

Michele,I like the tree very much.. What an interesting creation. I like the idea of decorating it with each season too. I can see it with white paper doilies and redhearts with white twinkle lights.. A Valentine tree

cute! and very farmgirl. Can I call it redneck (same as farmgirl) without you being offended?
Jeff Foxworthy would say something like "You might be a redneck if your Christmas tree is made from old barb wire" LOL kidding with love :-)

Wow! I've never seen anything like it--it's perfect, the "barbs" really feel like needles.
It's really cool.

Very fun! I think the horseshoes welded on the side give it better stability . . .

That is really creative! So much fun too! I think you can use that any time of year... Could decorate it for the different seasons. Put lights on it, leaf garlands in fall, etc, or just like it is is great too. Thanks for sharing your photo. I was interested to see what they looked like.
