This SWAP is for those of you who would like to make a Valentine-themed crafted item. You can choose whatever method you'd like to use, but the item MUST be handmade, and it should be no larger than 5" x 7". Please bear in mind postal regulations! Also, those who sign up will be divided into groups of no more than 4 (which will be assigned randomly using the kid draws name from a bucket method), so you will only need to make 3 items to send. Sign up starts now, and will end on 1/5. Groups have been posted!, so everyone can get busy! Your items MUST be shipped no later than 02/01, so they have time to arrive by Valentine's Day.

Marcy, I too am not worried about the swap, just knowing we got to spread a little sunshine her way is all I need! I am happy to send these swaps, they are fun and rewarding at the same time! I love looking at my teddy smiling at me, I put him on my sewing table. Thanks again and hugs to ya!

Oh, thank you Ann. All is well. Oh and Diane and her parents say hello, I guess they were recently at a different funeral and ran into your parents!

Hi Kelly,

I have not heard from her, either. I know that she got my teddy bear because I used deliver confirmation. I hope everything is all right where she is. Sometimes life can throw you a lemon. If you hear from her, let me know! The swap does not matter, I just hope that she is ok.
Thanks and take care!

Hi girls! Sorry I have not been on. My grandmother died, so I had to take care of that. Carmen recieved her pkg from kathy, khartquilt, she loved it. She has not gotten her other one yet from Kay, therusticcottage.

I recieved both of mine. Yes Tammy I got yours! I just love it! Thank you so much to Tammy and Beverley. Did both of you get mine?

I will post pics soon.

I just want to do a follow up...

Has anyone NOT received an item? I know sometimes Marian's take a while because they are international, but they should all be here by now (at least I'd hope so). I have had one of my group NOT get hers, but I made an extra, and it went in the mail Friday.

Please check in.

Thanks!

Today when I got home there was a nice package waiting for me.
As I am opening it I just can not think what it could be.
Well, just take a look at this terrific, beautiful doll that Carman made for me. Look and you will see the little cards that were in each pocket.
It is perfect! I truly love it!!
Thank you Carman. You are a very creative girl.

I am working on getting my photos uploaded to photobucket. My server is soooooooooooo slow. This may take a while. I am also trying to upload a few pictures of the braided ribbon. I did it with 2 seperate colors so that it is visible and easier to understand. I had never used 2 different colors before but it was easy to figure out. I will post those pics asap.

Janie, I am glad I didn't give up on your little purse either, When all was said and done I loved it too. It was just getting it there. I have the rest of the sweater that I need to figure out something to do with, It was a zipper front cardigan. The back was solid red. The front was small blocks of color in orange, plum, red, cream, and olive. These are the colors for my livingroom but I am stumped on what to make. Any ideas ladies?

I am glad they arrived. I am so glad you both liked them. Janie, yours was my first felting project and I was ready to chuck it 4 or 5 times but in the end it turned out great. I changed my design soooo many times. Ann I will try to draw picture and post it because it is hard to explain it. It is made with one piece of ribbon. You start in the middle. Make 2 loops kind of like the loops for a bow. Holding the loop in your left hand, Poke the loop from your right hand through the left loop. Now, Take the tail of the left loop an make another loop and stick through the end of the loop coming out of the 1st left loop. Never mind I will draw a picture. I am confusing myself.

Becky
