Day 2: Using at least one item from day 1, make 2 ornaments with a bird theme - one for you and one for a friend (two turtle doves)
Day 3: List 3 items from day one etsy, ebay, etc. or here for barter
Day 4: Make a list of 4 charities you will use your stash to make things for, then make something for at least one.
Day 5: Donate 5 items that you know you will never use to charity (5 golden rings)
Day 6: Clean out another drawer, bin, box, cabinet, or other type of container
Day 7: Find a pattern (online, in one of your books, etc) and make an item using something from day 6 in white with black accents (7 swans a swimming)
Day 8: Use an item from your stash to create a milk-themed item (8 maids a milking)
Day 9: Make a music themed item (9 ladies dancing)
Day 10: Choose 1 item you've saved for a rainy/snowy day and make something with that item
Day 11: Take pictures of all your creations and leap for joy (11 lords a leaping)

So far, I've done day 1 (check out my clean sewing room on the thread about showing off your space), day 5 (three baby blankets and 2 KOSO baby hats), and day 7. Seven swans a swimming:

Hang in there Tammy!

For those who may find this a bit intimidating: even if you only print the list and do one "day" a month next year, at least you are still participating in some way. This is supposed to be a fun way to clean it up, use it up, make it do or do without.

Ok, today if I have a bit of time later (I'm supposed to be finishing up a final exam right now...), I'm going to work on Day 2 ornaments and possibly some day 7 items. I'm probably not going to do them in any kind of order, and I may not get to them all, either. Feel free to pick and choose if you need to - this one is all about the fun of it!

Karen - thanks for your kind words! Glad to have you join us in our merry-making!

Ann, I've only done day 1 so far but I want you to know how much you've inspired me to do some crafting again. I have tons of scrapbooking materials for when the day comes that I actually start doing some pages. After getting your recipe cards and Christmas card, I decided to go ahead a make my Christmas cards for the swap. I've had so much fun the last couple of days figuring out a design, buying the papers and stamps (I'm not craft fasting but I was responsible $-wise). I didn't realize how much fun and how easy it is to do. Next year all of our cards will be homemade - thanks to you!

God bless -

Day one update: Got the sewing/craft room all done but one big shoe box of clutter. Hit a mental barrier, and then got the "I'll be there in 5 minutes" phone call. Hoping to finish today, run a bunch of errands, do a practice craft before cub scouts come here tomorrow, get the kitchen tidied up a bit, and finish a progress test for my own school.

Tammy don't worry - play along whenever and however you want. If you can only do a few of the days, so be it. It's supposed to be fun!

Day One Update: I am cleaning out my whole sewing/craft room. It became home to our "migratory clutter" while some other deep cleaning was going on in other rooms of the house. We have company coming tomorrow, and she wants to see the craft room. Desperate times call for desperate measures! I'm hoping to actually have it done by the time she gets here tomorrow. Then, maybe it'll be on to day 2.

Anyone else started yet?

**The sewing/craft room finally did get all cleaned out! Now, I can actually find my materials to make things - YAY!**

I'm not starting until my birtdhay (12/12). My schedule clears quite a bit by then, so if anyone needs/wants to wait, I TOTALLY understand. And, even if you only do day one and then a few of the other days, it will still be fun! Even if you only do day one, that's a start...

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

I did something! I went through the stash on the left side of my craft closet. There wasn't a huge amount to go through but it was messy. I discovered tote patterns I didn't know I had and got some things put back together that were just tossed in there "for now." Day 1: check!

What a cute idea Ann!!
I don't think I can keep up either unless I do it in the "real" twelve days of Christmas ending on Epiphany, things might calm down by then.
I will definitely cut this out and save it!!

I can't promise I'll be able to keep up either, since I'm making almost all of my Christmas gifts this year...but I'll give it my best try!
