I found this pattern in the new issue of Martha Stewart and I thought they were really cute! They are just made out of paper, bamboo skewers and a wood thread spool

Linda, To make the trees, you cut out a 2", 3", 4" and 5" circle and you fold them in half 8 times and then you fold them so they zig-zag in and out! Cut the top off and glue them spaced out on a bamboo skewer and glue it into place in a small wooden spool!
